Helping Horses and helping those who rescue and care for horses is very important to us here at R9 Custom Horse.

In 2004, we took in a very thin, very sick mare. Dollie had C.O.P.D. She needed surgery to open her airway. She was a very sweet 9 yr old Appaloosa mare.

An acquaintance of a friend had also just adopted a horse and was looking for some matching custom tack. Our friend mentioned that we could make it for her. We used the money from those first orders to pay for Dollie's surgery. The woman was pleased with the pads and blankets and word started to spread. While she was with us, Dollie did have her surgery and was able to gain weight. Almost a year later, she passed away because of her illness. We dearly miss her!

Since then we have continued to grow and can now offer a wide selection of patterns and styles for your four-legged family members. In memory of Dollie, we starting working with a few Non-Profit horse rescues groups. The Saddle pads were used as fund raisers. The winter blankets were used on their needy horses.
